Carissa Putri, dikenal sebagai bintang akting dalam film, sinetron, maupun FTV Indonesia. Lahir di Frankfurt, Jerman, 12 September 1984, ia terbilang sebagai pendatang baru, yang belum begitu dikenal secara luas.

Carissa turut mendukung film sukses garapan Hanung Bramantyo, AYAT-AYAT CINTA yang sekaligus menjadi film perdananya. Film yang diangkat dari novel laris dengan judul yang sama karangan Habiburrahman El Shirazy itu mempercayakan padanya peran sebagai Maria Girgis, seorang gadis penganut Kristen Koptik yang kemudian jatuh cinta pada Islam.

Menurut cerita, semula Carissa disiapkan untuk peran Aisha Greimas, seorang mahasiswi keturunan Jerman dan Turki, yang cerdas, cantik dan kaya raya. Namun peran itu akhirnya diberikan pada Rianty Cartwright yang justru awalnya akan memerankan Maria. Karena menurut Hanung, wajah Carissa terlalu belia untuk peran Aisha.

Alyssa Milano is the daughter of Italian-American parents Lin, a fashion designer, and Tom, a film music editor.
